We’re making some big updates to the way subscriptions are processed. These changes will make BETA’s subscriptions more flexible and more robust, but there are a few important things you should know.
BETA will handle subscription management internally, meaning billing intervals, pauses, and cancellations will be managed by BETA. External payment providers like Stripe, GoCardless and others will only be used to process payments, not to control the subscription's lifecycle.
These changes will be happening gradually over the course of the month, from October 21, 2024 → November 25, 2024.

Largely you should not notice a major change from this process, there is one important message relating to informing your climbers! You will have access to more features and more flexibility in your subscription management.

IMPORTANT UPDATE for GoCardless Subscriptions PLEASE READ
Due to this change all of your active subscribers will receive an automated email***** sent from GoCardless between October 21, 2024 → November 25, 2024 that their Subscription has been cancelled.
However, this will NOT be the case - their subscription would have simply been migrated to BETA, while GoCardless will only be processing payment.
We suggest communicating with these members specifically, ie filter:**
service column
to GoCardless,state column
to: Active
and *Paused*
and *Pending Upgrade*
last_billed = NEVER
We have put together a guide on Report: Export Recurring Subscriptions in the case that you wish to email those members directly.
Please let us know if you require assistance.
*We have made a request to GoCardless for this not to be the case, but wait for a response.
** If you as seeing last_billed=NEVER
implies that these were from your migration, and a subscription was . You can also chose to remove those form your mail list.
