It enables automatic deduction of funds from their bank accounts to cover recurring payments, eliminating the need for manual payments and ensuring timely payment.

Once you have set up the GoCardless integration, customers purchasing recurring prices online or in the BETA app will be prompted to set up a Direct Debit mandate via GoCardless. The banking scheme used varies by country. You can learn more about the benefits of Direct Debit subscriptions from the Gocardless website.
Direct Debit mandates are a low-churn payment method. They’re very likely to go through without any issues once the mandate has been set up. However, they come with some limitations.
GoCardless does not allow us to alter the billing date of a subscription, so GoCardless subscriptions can only be paused or extended in increments of entire months.
GoCardless does not allow us to modify the amount charged to clients each month, except to permanently upgrade or downgrade the price of the subscription. This means that subscription discounts cannot be used with GoCardless subscriptions.
